The Orange County Progressive Caucus is back for another gathering on Monday, April 20th at 6:30 PM at the Dover Shores Community Center!

We’re excited to welcome guest speaker Stephanie Ziglar, candidate for Orange County Commissioner District 3. A third-generation Orlando native, wife, and mother of two, Stephanie is a nonprofit leader and small business advocate. As Executive Director of the Curry Ford West Main Street district, she works closely with local businesses and residents to strengthen the local economy and build a more connected community.

After our usual Orange County Democratic Progressive Caucus meeting on the third Monday of each month, keep the energy going and join us for a post-meeting social from 8:00–10:00 PM at Book Burn, a locally owned bar located at 2425 E. South St., Orlando, FL 32803.

This is a great opportunity to unwind, mingle, and build community with local elected officials, organizers, and fellow progressives. Come connect, sign petitions, share ideas, and support a local small business while strengthening our movement in a relaxed and welcoming space.

Angie Nixon Redistricting Townhall at the People’s Assembly

Join the Democratic Progressive Caucus of Florida, Orange County Progressive Caucus, Young Democrats of Orange County, Central Florida Indivisible, Orange County Democratic Black Caucus, Organizing to Victory, Sunrise Movement UCF, and Orlando 50501 for a Town Hall on Redistricting with State Representative Angie Nixon.

This important event will take place on Tuesday, April 14th at 6:00 PM at the Pine Hills Community Center, 6408 Jennings Road, Orlando, FL 32818. Come learn about current redistricting efforts, how they impact our communities, and what you can do to ensure the people’s voices are heard and represented.

This is a crucial opportunity to ask questions, engage with local leaders, and join the fight for fair and equitable representation in Florida.

OC Progressive Caucus Monthly Meeting

Join the Orange County Progressive Caucus for our hybrid Monthly Meeting on Monday, March 16th at 6:30 PM, featuring guest speaker Hedder Pierre Joseph, candidate for Orange County Commission District 6. Born in Nassau, Bahamas to Haitian immigrant parents, Hedder came to South Florida as an undocumented immigrant at a young age and became a legal resident in 1994. She has lived in Orange County since 2003 and has long served the community as an educator, business owner, youth mentor, advocate, real estate agent, and active member of New Covenant Baptist Church. Passionate about immigration, business development, sustainable housing, youth empowerment, and increased access for persons with disabilities, Hedder is committed to giving voice to the voiceless and working alongside residents to “Push for Progress” across District 6. This hybrid meeting will feature Quinnie Perez, trans activist and candidate for Orange County Soil and Water Conservation District 1, who will share their vision for protecting our environment and strengthening local stewardship.
